The Jets officially added one of the NFL’s most dynamic offensive weapons today with the signing of Le’Veon Bell.
A three-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-team All-Pro, the 6’1”, 225-pound Bell is elite in multiple dimensions. In Bell, the Jets have acquired the fastest player in NFL history to reach 5,000 rushing yards and 2,500 receiving yards (59 games). And that feat came after Bell became the first player in NFL history with at least 4,000 rushing yards and 2,000 receiving yards in his first 50 games.
Despite playing just five seasons in Pittsburgh and sitting out the 2018 campaign, Bell leaves the Steelers with the fourth-most rushing yards in team history (5,336) and the second-most receiving yards in team history among running backs (2,660). His 35 rush touchdowns tied for third-most in Steelers history and his 7,996 scrimmage yards are the sixth-most.
